SOIL AND WATER TESTING LABORATORY
This testing lab support the farmers to analyse the nutrient availability of their farm soil. Later, based on the soil analysis report crop-based requirement of fertilizer is recommended to the farmers and soil health card issued.
Services provided

Advisory services are provided to farmers onsuitable soil health management practices.
- Parameters such as major, secondary and micronutrient status in a soil sample and other physical and electrochemical properties of soil like pH and electrical conductivity are analysed.
- Soil health campaigns, training programmes on the importance of soil testing, soil health management and method demonstrations in the field are conducted for farmers/students.
- World soil day is observed every year on December 5th, with awareness programmes and campaigns on the importance of soil testing.
- Students and researchers can make use of the facilities available in the labs for research purposes.
