High-Density Planting in Banana
Cultivation of Nendran Banana at a spacing of 3 m x 2 m (Row to row and Pit to Pit). Pit size 50cm x 50cm x 50 cm. Planting 2 tissue culture plants or 2 suckers of almost equal weight at a spacing of 45 cm within the pit oriented perpendicular to the row. A fertiliser dose of extra 50 % over the KAU Package of Practice recommendation for Tissue culture banana is given at 1-6 months period. Lime application as per soil test data.
