Plastic mulching and Drip fertigation for Bitter gourd
Cultivating bitter gourd on raised beds of size 90cm x 30cm (b x h) covered with silver-black or white-black plastic mulching sheet. The beds are taken at a spacing of 2 m, and seeds are planted at a spacing of 1.5m. Drip irrigation is provided using drippers of 4L/hr. capacity. At the time of bed preparation, the lime application is done as per soil test data. FYM application @ 2kg/m2 along with 50% P using rock phosphate is done during bed preparation. NPK @ 200:75:220 is given as fertigation at 3 days interval starting from 3 DAS of pre-germinated seeds.
