Krishi bro–a coloured broiler

Krishi bro, coloured broiler developed by the Directorate of Poultry Research, Hyderabad grows up to 2 kg body wt. by 45 days of age and has 60.68% dressing percentage and has a BCR of 1.8 compared to a BCR of 1.02 in case of male birds reared for meat among the farmers. The taste of Krishi bro was almost similar to that of the indigenous variety.
